How the pelvic health rehab program works...
Our Pelvic Health Rehab Program is a 12-week program designed around our unique treatment framework. A 4 phased approach to exercise programming:
Phase 1: Connection - This phase is all about developing neural pathways that will improve how the pelvic floor and deeper core muscles work. This is essential to learn as each phase builds on these foundational concepts.
Phase 2: Building muscular balance - this phase addressing muscular imbalances surrounding your pelvis and trunk that are contributing to your symptoms. This is where we improve your posture and total body alignment.
Phase 3: Integration - phase 3 teaches you how to take concepts from the first 2 phases and apply them to the way you move in daily life and in your exercise routine. This is where the magic happens, especially if you experience symptoms in activities of daily living or basic movements.
Phase 4: Strength - After mastering integration we now improve the strength of the system. your pelvic floor and deep core know how to work well but they now need strength to match the demands of your activities.
This structure has been designed based on up-to-date research with a focus on progression. Progression is a key component that is missing with many other therapies. This program moves beyond Kegels and really addresses all the contributors of your symptoms. It has helped women with pelvic floor dysfunction just like you get back to the activities they love with less leaking and a whole lot of confidence.
a personalized approach to your pelvic floor treatment
You still have symptoms because you haven’t worked through a movement based approach.
If you didn’t already your pelvic floor requires more than just kegels to work well. Sometimes Kegels can make your symptoms worse, indicating more pelvic floor tightness based problems, and sometimes you can do all the kegels in the world and you will still have issues of leaking, heaviness and even pelvic pain.
This is because your pelvic floor is part of your deeper core stability system and this means many other things impact how it works. Thigs like your pelvic stability, spinal mobility, general posture, breathing mechanics, stress levels and even things like poor gut health and changes in hormones can cause an unhappy pelvic floor.
Corrective exercise is a term we use to describe exercises inside phase 1 and phase 2 of the process. These exercises aim to train muscles to work correctly. This goes beyond learning to relax or contract a muscle in isolation (like kegels) but works through an integrative movement-based approach. It aims to teach initial contraction and relaxation of muscles and then continue to train them to show up properly in all variations of movement, daily activities and exercise. This takes slow progression over time. It requires an exercise program that progresses in nature, moves away from manual therapy and is movement based.
If you have been seeing a women’s health physiotherapist for ongoing pelvic floor treatment, haven’t been given exercises beyond pelvic floor kegels and hip stretches then you will never see improvements in your symptoms or be able to get back into exercise without pelvic floor symptoms.
You need a movement-based approach, progressing beyond basic pelvic floor exercises to change how your muscles are working. This is exactly what we do inside our Pelvic Health Rehab Program.

“I was a bit sceptical about how she was going to treat me over zoom but I was proven wrong. She uses photos you take of yourself along with using the zoom call to do some basic mobility exercises. Her ability to spot the tiny nuances in your movement is amazing. Thanks to her amazing eye and deep knowledge of women's body, she was able to pinpoint the right exercises to help me gain strength in the right areas...”
