How consultations are delivered

Why consultations are delivered through Remote Control EP

All 1:1 consultations are booked and delivered through Remote Control Exercise Physiology — the telehealth clinic I co-founded specifically to make specialist healthcare accessible to people across Australia, regardless of where they live.

Remote Control EP is the clinical infrastructure that allows me to operate as a fully registered telehealth provider — with proper clinical systems, records management, health fund billing and a multidisciplinary network behind every consultation. When you book through RCEP, you are booking with me, Courtenay, as your clinician. The experience is personal. The infrastructure is clinical-grade.

This model exists because specialist women’s health care should not be limited to people who live near a major city or can afford to take time off work to attend an in-person clinic. Telehealth done well is not a compromise. For most women’s health conditions, it is the most practical and most effective way to receive ongoing clinical support.

Why telehealth works

Telehealth is not a compromise. For most women it is the better option.

There is a persistent assumption that in-person care is inherently better. For most women’s health Exercise Physiology, the evidence and the experience do not support that assumption. Here is why telehealth consistently works as well or better for this type of clinical work.

No geography barrier

You should not have to live near a major city to access specialist women’s health care. Telehealth makes that possible. We have clients across every state and territory in Australia.

Fits around your life

No travel time, no parking, no need to find childcare for a clinic appointment. You attend from wherever works for you — home, work, or anywhere with a connection.

more consistent follow through

Clients who attend telehealth consistently show better program adherence than those who have to travel to appointments. Reducing friction increases follow-through — and follow-through is what drives outcomes.

same clinical quality

Exercise Physiology for women’s health is primarily about prescription, education and monitoring — all of which translate fully to a telehealth format. The clinical quality is not reduced by the format.

Frequently asked questions

No referral is needed to book a consultation. You can book directly through the Remote Control EP booking page. If you have a GP referral under an Enhanced Primary Care plan, bring that to your first appointment as it may entitle you to Medicare rebates.

A device with a camera and microphone — phone, tablet or computer all work well. A reliable internet connection and a private space where you feel comfortable talking. For some appointments it helps to have space to move, but this is not always necessary.

This depends entirely on your condition, your goals and how your body responds. We will give you a clear recommendation at your initial consultation. Most clients start with monthly follow-ups, with some conditions requiring more frequent contact initially.

Exercise Physiologists complete a four-year university-accredited degree and are registered allied health professionals. We prescribe exercise as a clinical intervention for specific health conditions — working from an evidence base specific to your diagnosis. Personal trainers are not trained to work with clinical conditions and are not covered by health fund or Medicare rebates. The scope of practice is entirely different.

Yes — and for most complex conditions, this is best practice. We regularly communicate and coordinate with GPs, gynaecologists, pelvic floor physiotherapists, fertility specialists and dietitians. You do not need to choose between your providers.

Book a free discovery call and we will have an honest conversation about whether we are the right fit. The conditions listed are our primary specialisations but they are not exhaustive — if your condition has an exercise component and sits within women’s health, there is a good chance we can help.
